Since 2007 Rochester Arts & Sciences Academy has provided an individualized education emphasizing the arts and sciences in a community-based setting.
Our teachers are what make that possible.
Thanks to them, we are able to offer:
A challenging academic environment with thriving students;
An International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum centered on student inquiry and global-mindedness;
A welcoming, diverse school community that emphasizes character development in a secular environment; and
A small classroom experience, with fewer than fifteen students, where passionate teachers inspire reflective, knowledgeable thinkers.
But don’t just take our word for it! Here is just some of what our families have to say:
And Rochester is an incredible place to live.
Consistently ranked as one of the country’s most livable cities, it is a place where you can find it all: great quality of life, low cost of living, beautiful countryside, and easy access to two of America’s great cities (the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul).
Home to the world-famous Mayo Clinic, Rochester is able to offer, not just the very best in terms of health care, but also the kind of diversity, restaurants, and culture typically found only in much larger cities.
And it is a place poised to continue to grow.
Thanks to the Destination Medical Center initiative, the largest public-private partnership in Minnesota history, $5.6 billion will be invested to attract and retain talent and innovation. Indeed, the DMC has already created more than 7,000 jobs and attracted “nearly $10 of private investment for every $1 of public funds.”
So many people, businesses, and investors have chosen Rochester, and we think you will too!
But, most importantly, here is why our teachers choose RASA:
You can find links to our current openings below.
For all positions, preference is given to the following academic training:
Lower School (K-5): A teaching degree with a breadth of knowledge across all subject areas.
Middle School (6-7): Dual majors in two middle school subject areas or a major with a strong minor.
Certification is preferred. For otherwise qualified candidates, at least two years of successful full-time experience at an accredited elementary or secondary school may substitute for certification.
In addition, the following are also expected:
A history of high expectations for academic achievement of students and the ability to motivate all children to high personal achievement.
Effective communication and positivity as a team member as well as with parents in the community.
We encourage you to read more about our academic program and school life. But please do not hesitate to reach out to our principal, Nicholas Doyle, with any questions.
We hope you will choose to apply!
